What are the advantages of PEKK's material properties in the semiconductor industry
Release Time:2022-05-26      Hit Count:181

1 High temperature resistance The long-term use temperature of UL certification in the United States is 270 ℃. Short-term use temperature up to 300 ℃.

2 High strength It has the best mechanical strength among plastics. It also has high rigidity and hard surface.

3 Fatigue resistance PEKK and its modified composite materials have the highest mechanical strength, compression resistance, impact resistance and fatigue resistance among plastics.

4 Wear resistance Low friction coefficient, low running resistance, can achieve oil-free lubrication and will not occur similar to the seizure between metal and metal parts. Suitable for cleaning equipment against lubricant contamination. It is suitable for long-term application in extremely harsh working conditions such as oil, water, steam, weak acid and strong alkali, high temperature, high load, and strong corrosion.

5. Hydrolysis resistance and low hygroscopicity. It can maintain excellent mechanical properties and dimensional stability after long-term immersion in high-pressure water and high-temperature and high-pressure steam.

6 Radiation resistance It has strong resistance to high-dose γ-ray radiation, and its mechanical properties can be completed. It can be used as radiation-resistant parts in nuclear equipment.

7 Self-flame retardant The flame retardant grade of the 1.45mm thick sample is UL94 V-0. Low smoke and non-toxic.

8 Low density Lighter than metal (70% lighter than steel, 55% lighter than titanium, 40% lighter than aluminum), the energy consumption is greatly reduced, and it is more wear-resistant than copper alloys.

9 Low release High purity, low outgassing characteristics, meet demanding technical requirements.

10 Easy to process Parts can be directly processed by injection molding. Can be turned, milled, drilled, tapped, bonded and ultrasonic welded.

To sum up: PEKK has outstanding characteristics and advantages such as wear resistance, high temperature resistance, high strength, and self-lubrication, which can ensure continuous long-term use on equipment and avoid equipment downtime caused by replacement of parts.
